2012 Summer Camps at the Conrad Centre!

We're looking forward to another fun summer with four weeks of all-day camps! Each camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each weekday, with early drop-off/late pick-up options.

Camp Volunteers Wanted!

We're looking for volunteers to help at each of these camps. This is great experience for high school and university students, or volunteers of all ages! Please email us at camps@kwsymphony.on.ca to indicate your interest.

Summer Strings Camp: July 16-20 (ages 9 - 15)

Registration Fees: $260 (all-day camp, full week); optional early drop-off/late pick-up; registration form

Our strings camp gives young string players, ages 9 – 15, a positive learning environment to hone their skills. Play in small ensembles, larger ensembles, take part in workshops and masterclasses, learn new music and orchestra excerpts, all under the direction of KWS professional instructors. Lance Ouellette, 2nd Associate Concertmaster of the KWS, returns to lead this camp!

My First Music Lesson: 3 Weeks to choose from (ages 6 – 12)

Registration Fees: $260 (each week; all day camp); optional early drop-off/late pick-up; optional lunches; registration form

How do you give your child the opportunity to explore the world of music and find the instrument that's right for them?  This camp will provide the answer.  Each day will have a different focus - strings, brass, woodwinds,  percussion & keyboards. This camp mixes mini music lessons (with professional instructors) with fun activities throughout each day.

For two of the three weeks our camp is offered it will have an international theme (*) as our local campers will be joined by campers from South Korea. Make music and learn about another culture!

We can supply an optional lunch for an additional fee during these camp weeks. More details will be coming soon....
