Announces the following vacancy:

Section Viola

The winner of this audition must be available to begin to work no later than September 17, 2023, but could start sooner if available.


National Auditions
: Friday, February 3, 2023 in Kitchener, Ontario

Highly qualified applicants who wish to secure an audition time are required to send a ONE-PAGE resume together with a $75 deposit cheque or bank draft by the application deadline. The deposit cheque should be made out to the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and dated January 3, 2023. It is refundable only for candidates who attend their audition time.

All audition candidates will be required to wear a properly fitting face mask during all aspects of the audition process.

A piano accompanist will be provided as necessary for the audition.

The KWS is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities. Accommodations will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required under KWS’ Recruitment policy. Applicants are asked to make their needs known in advance at the time of application.

2022-2023 Season:  35 weeks
Salary: 959.97 per week
Vacation: 3 weeks paid vacation/season
Benefits: extended health and dental, life insurance, employee assistance plan
Pension: 8.25%

Candidates are responsible for travel and all associated costs of attendance at the audition.

Second Oboe/English Horn
