Grab Your Dancin’ Shoes! The KWS Welcomes Back Matt Catingub For Dancin’ Thru The Decades

Get ready to dance the night away, The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony presents the energetic and fun filled Dancin’ Thru The Decades on November 10 and 11 at 8 pm at Centre In The Square. Leading the Orchestra is KWS favourite Matt Catingub alongside vocalist Anita Hall and drummer Steve Moretti. Take it to the dancefloor in front of the Orchestra as they play hits spanning the last 70 years from artists like Elvis, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and more.

Matt Catingub wears many hats: saxophonist, woodwind artist, conductor, pianist, vocalist, performer, composer, and arranger. He is the Artistic Director and co-founder of the Macon Pops in Macon, Georgia. Catingub has guest conducted for some of the most significant Symphony Orchestras in the country, including the Nashville Symphony, the Saint Louis Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops, and throughout Canada and Japan. Today Matt Catingub is considered to be at the forefront of a new and innovative movement to reinvent Pops into a more fun and accessible format, encouraging dancing (when the venue allows) and loose fun, within a more informal and contemporary setting. Catingub last appeared with the KWS, Anita Hall and Steve Moretti in 2015/16 for Dancin’ Thru The Decades.

Of the upcoming concert Matt Catingub commented, “Looking forward once again to sharing a brand new version of my show Dancing Through the Decades with the KW Symphony. I had such a great time watching everyone there last time dance and party, and I’m looking forward to an even more fun evening with all of you. From Elvis to Stevie Wonder to Bruno Mars it’s gonna be a blast!”.
