The Dark Side of Love

This program, featuring wonderful local countertenor Daniel Cabena, includes works for voice and orchestra by Handel, Mozart, and Rossini, whose texts all reflect upon the dark side of love. Betrayal, longing, heartbreak, and revenge — as only the masters can portray.

The title of this concert pays homage to some of the unsung heroes of the Orchestra: the second chair players. These fine players will be featured as the “main  course” in this concert, performing solo pieces by Vivaldi, Mozart, Bartók and more.

Beethoven’s Triple Concerto

Having performed all of Beethoven’s piano concertos with the KWS, pianist Stewart Goodyear returns to complete the Beethoven cycle with the grand Triple Concerto, also featuring KWS Concertmaster Bénédicte Lauzière and Principal Cello John Helmers.
