Bridge to Music Application

The Bridge to Music program makes music lessons and instruments affordable for young students, between ages 6–13, whose families are in financial need. Students will receive regular music lessons on a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument for $5 per lesson, and may rent an instrument for $20 per season. No prior music training is required. Criteria for eligibility are listed on the following form.

  • One application is required per family and there is a limit of two students per family.
  • Submission of an application or completion of the interview process does not guarantee acceptance in the program.
  • Application for participation in the program must be submitted annually.
  • KWS reserves the right to conclude an individual application process at any time.

  • Criteria Eligibility

    Eligibility is based on total household income before taxes. The gross income levels below determine eligibility.
    Annual total income cutoffs are before tax. Numbers are from Statistics Canada, 2019.

    *More than 7 people in your household, please add $6,828 for each additional person.
