Safety Protocols and Procedures

Your Safety is Our Top Priority

The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony looks forward to welcoming audiences back to live, in-person performances. With the health and safety of patrons our top priority, we will follow guidance from all levels of government and our venues.

KWS/CCPA COVID-19 Policy as at October 13, 2022

With the reduction of some provincial mandatory COVID regulations for attending indoor events, facilities and organizers must now begin to make their own decisions regarding COVID safety policy. Based on recent results from audience surveys, and after discussions with other local arts facilities, the majority of responses are in favour of a more gradual lifting of restrictions related to COVID-19.

CCPA’s COVID-19 Policy has been amended as of October 13, 2022. CCPA’s mandatory vaccination policy is currently suspended. The mandatory wearing of well-fitted masks (made of tightly woven material and covering the mouth, nose and chin without gaps) for all staff, contractors and rental clients will remain in place. Audience members will no longer be required to wear masks, however it is strongly encouraged. Physical distancing and frequent hand washing continue to be highly recommended.

This COVID policy will continue to be reviewed as the pandemic continues to evolve.

For the safety of all, patrons under quarantine or isolation, or who have been exposed to or have come in contact with someone with COVID-19, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19, must not come to the performance. Please call Patron Services at 519-745-4711 ext. 1 or email patronservices@kwsymphony.on.ca.

Mask Policy

The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony strongly encourages the wearing of well-fitted masks (made of tightly woven material and covering the mouth, nose and chin without gaps) for audience members.
