About the concert:

A programme from Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute for Grades 4-6

Rhythm is a universal element of music. Composers and musicians play with elements of musical time, creating patterns of sound and silence that are expressive and exciting.  Through Link Up repertoire, students explore rhythm, pulse, and groove as listeners, composers, and performers of music.

This concert invites active participation from classes via soprano recorder or singing alongside the KW Symphony to several of the pieces. Preparatory guides will be supplied electronically this year to all participating teachers and students well in advance to help facilitate the best learning experience possible!

This concert also includes a personal visit to your classroom by a KWS musician!  This visit will give your students a personal connection to the orchestra with lots of musical demonstrations and commentary from one of our orchestra members.

This concert offers the opportunity (optional) for students to perform on recorders with the KWS from the audience!
